Qualifications to Register

• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must be 18 years old before the next general election..
• Must be a resident of Ohio 30 days before the day of the election.

Methods to Register

Register in person at any of the following locations:

• The office of the Secretary of State or any of the 88 county Boards of Election.
• The office of any deputy register of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
• Offices of designated agencies that provide public assistance or disability programs. (Job and Family Services or WIC).
• Public libraries.
• Public high schools or vocational schools.

You may download a form from the Secretary of State’s Web site: http://www.sos.state.oh.us/SOS/voter.aspx

Write or call (330-674-5921) the Board of Elections to request forms to register by mail.

You can also apply for an Absentee Voter Ballot.

Completed forms must be in the office of the Board of Elections by noon the Saturday before the election.
