The Board meets at 10:00 a.m. in the Board office located at 75 East Clinton Street Suite 108, Millersburg, Ohio on the second Monday of each month except for holidays and in months containing an election.

The January 9, 2012 meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 17, 2012.

The biennial Board reorganizational meeting will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 6:30 a.m.

· December 7 Filing deadline for Primary Election Candidates 4:00 p.m.

· December 30 Filing Deadline for Presidential Delegates and US Congress

· January 25-27 Board office closed for staff to attend state election official conference

· January 31, 2012 Absentee Ballots available for Primary Election

· February 6 Voter Registration ends for Primary Election at 9:00 p.m.

· March 2 Early / absentee voting ends at 6:00 p.m.

· March 5 Filing deadline for General Election Independent Candidates 4:00 p.m.

· March 6 Primary Election Day Precinct Polls are open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

· March 19 Official Canvass of Primary Election results scheduled to begin.

· May 9 Filing deadline for August Special Election Local Questions & Issues 4:00 p.m.

· August 7 Possible Special Election Day Precinct Polls are open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

· August 8 Filing deadline for General Election Local Questions & Issues 4:00 p.m.

· October 2 Absentee Ballots available for General Election

· October 9 Voter Registration ends for General Election at 9:00 p.m.

· November 2 Early / absentee voting ends at 6:00 p.m.

· November 6 Presidential General Election Day Precinct Polls are open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

· November 19 Official Canvass of General Election results scheduled to begin.

Completed Absentee Application forms must be in the office of the Board of Elections by noon the Saturday before the election.

The Board of Elections has 96 TSX machines that were purchased from Diebold Elections Systems with HAVA funds in 2005. The Secretary of State acquired all of those 96 machines for Holmes County. The Board plans to assign 88 of those voting machines. The remaining 8 are in the following status: 2 upload/download machines, 2 waiting repairs, 4 available to replace compromised machines on Election Day. The Board has chosen not to purchase or lease additional equipment due to current budget limitations, the Secretary’s report on Project EVEREST, and the availability of required Optical Scan ballots.
